Superlight: Unofficial 1000

Yesterday’s ride (116.98 miles, 17.1mph av speed, 51.7 max speed, 145bpm av heart rate, 214bpm max heart rate (slightly dubious), lots of big hills, 11mins 43secs stationary) on the superlight took it over the 1000 mile mark.

I’m quite happy with this as it’s first ride was on the 15th March, so it’s taken just over a month to get there while sharing it’s ride time with the scandal.

Of course, the 1K is unofficial; it includes rides to work/the gym and isn’t just made of training or racing, but hey ho!

I guess i’ll have to stop calling it the “new” superlight now.

yes i know my house is a tip

  3. Dave doesn’t ever mention this, but most of his rides are done after work.. with his WORK CLOTHES IN HIS BAG.. that’s 117 miles with a full change of clothes on his back.

    madness I tell thee.

  4. actually i nipped home before riding yesterday so didn’t have my work stuff with me

there’s still nothing like cruising past someone who’s absolutely hammering, bag on your back with a tie trailing out of it though 🙂

  5. LOL 🙂
How many non training/racing miles do you do?

I have passed 2000 miles now, 4 months earlier than last year. Yay!

  6. not a lot of non training miles really, a couple of commutes into work a week (about 8 miles a day) plus a weekly trip or so to the gym (6 mile round trip). I think it works out at about 80 or 90 miles a month…ish

  7. The government should pay you for riding to and from work. 50p a mile.

When I am president of Utopiaville that will be my ruling.

  8. Hmm, i just sent you an email asking for pics of the road bike… Anyway, ive just started riding again! By riding, i mean i managed 2hrs at a measily pace on Saturday without my knee hurting. Never got to see a specialist, i just sat it out and took herbal remedies like Devils Claw, M2M, Inflammol and Condroitin – my bathroom cupboard looks like a Chemist’s. Doing the Gorrick 50k on the 6th May – you’ll have to come down for some southern races.

Not coming to the Enduro 6 then Steve?

You know if you want to ride with someone slowish down south you can give me a shout.

My mobile sucks so give me an email
