Won a race once. AND DON'T YOU EVER FORGET IT

Doing it in a team this year. Ha. If the forecasts are anything to go by I’ve made the right decision!
Did it solo in the (very) wet in 2007 – the first year I did the most laps (you can’t really “win” clic). Much preferred it in the dry!

Good luck to Jason and Simon (and anyone else soloing for that matter), who may well get to experience that utter joy.

    Anyhoo:

    It’ll be dry and sunny!

If anyone is reading this and hasn’t sponsored me yet then feel free to 🙂

Just in case it isn’t dry in sunny my pink surly is now equipped with 1.8″ mud tyres. They look really silly in a frame with massive tyre clearance.

you’ll be reet – the course hold up well (for the most part) in the wet. I did it in 07 with a low profile IRC MythosII on the back and it barely made any difference.

there’s only 2 sections that get bad – once you’ve gone through the gate after turning left at the lasts (that’ll be hub deep water) and the last moorland crossing.
    Neither are too claggy.

i kind of envy you if the weather is unpleasant, i reckon it’s easier to just get on with it once you’re wet. if you only get to do one lap then have sit around for a couple of hours you get all uncomfortable.
