• clambering back aboard

got up quite late (for a sunday) crammed bike back into back of car, sped over to Wayne’s, crammed his bike in the back of car, took scenic route to gisburn forest (read: made up new route), met rich in car park, rode “good old” trail, looked at blossoming DH course, played in woodsy singletrack, snuck a sneak peak at the new trails, fell off on innocuous little corner, palm of right hand now really really sore, went to pub, got funny looks from woman behind bar for wanting mild not lager

    new trail

all in all, a gentle way of getting back on the bike…with a surprisingly painful little crash, oww 🙁

ere, that trail looks quite nice.
I didn’t know you could still buy “mild”. I thought it had gone the same way as mead 😉

the trail’s ace; much tighter through the trees than any other trail centre routes, so you feel fast even when you’re travelling at about 8mph… lots of “body english” required to flow (and it does have a nice flow to it, even when going up)

you can still get mild in PROPER pubs, just not in crappy trendy wine bars ;p

my bike’s still in the hall looking a bit unloved at the moment. hope the injury didn’t interfere with you’re mild drinking 😉

possibly too much information there, but good, it’s a top notch day out, i expect DJ Wayne to have some tasty tunes for the journey 😉

dont worry, the injury didn’t hold back the drinking – i am ambidexterous when it come to a nice post-ride pint (and not above drinking it through a straw should it come to it 🙂 )
