House/SITS Weatherwatch/Possible added glitz

House move over the weekend went OK – the old house has been cleaned to within an inch of it’s life and the keys handed back to the letting agency – we even got a bottle of bubbly off the old landlord for being such nice tenants. One last wander around before we left for the last time had me wondering just *how* I managed to fit so many bikes/spares in a small alcove under the stairs…especially when considering that the new (big) garage is too full of bikes and bits for the car to fit in! Crampt was not the word.
New house will feel a lot airier once the mountain of still-unpacked-boxes has been dealt with – we’ve still not decided where everything is going yet, which is a nice decision to have to make after years of cramming everything into any gap that looked big enough, no matter how inaccessable it was!
I’v not taken any pictures of the house because, lets face it, no-one’s interested in pictures of someone elses house (except maybe Hugh Heffner’s…). I will, however, take pictures of the garage once it’s properly set up for bike fettling/training (now it’s been decided that the car will have to live out on the driveway), because it will be an awesome piece of man-space 😀
The fridge freezer is in, the lights all work and a stereo will be going in soon so I can listen to loud, angry music while on the turbo trainer or fixing bikes with hammers (I’m currently wondering if getting a sofa for it would be going too far…) 🙂

All this house move stuff means I’ve not been out for a ride for around a week now (save the new commute to work, which is only about 4 miles ATM…though I am looking for a nicer, longer route), so I guess I’ll be “well rested” for SITS. Never mind, hopefully it’ll rain again and everyone will go home so I can just take a 24hr walk round the park 😉
The Beeb think it’ll be wet, the MetOffice doesn’t and UKWeather currently thinks it’s going to be glorious sunshine…so we can conclude that no-one has a clue yet. Hmm.

Might well be riding a new bike there too – so kee an eye out for me and Jase; apparently we might be doing a “glitzy” product launch. which reminds me, I must get onto Matt’s back about making some new graphical doo-dahs for this site (which is well due a makeover)…

More soon.
